You'll work independently as an independent contractor, using a self-scheduling platform to select your hours and work at your own pace. **Key Responsibilities** * Answer incoming calls from patients and caregivers with empathy, professionalism, and a friendly demeanor * Assist with enrollment, program applications, and setup in applicable systems * Retrieve information to support caregivers with payroll-related inquiries * Utilize de-escalation techniques to resolve emotionally charged calls * Offer guidance and directions to patients and caregivers to effectively resolve issues * Document information and outcomes as necessary * Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues and provide exceptional service **Essential Qualifications** * At least one year of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or related field * Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software systems * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and internal teams * Great active listening skills, with the ability to empathize with patients and caregivers * Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately and confidently work with numbers and discuss money * Ability to multitask and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment * Quality-focused mindset, with a desire to achieve first call resolution whenever possible **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working in a remote or virtual environment * Familiarity with Medicaid programs and self-directed care * Certification in customer service or a related field * Experience working with sensitive or emotionally charged patients and caregivers **Home Office Environment** To ensure success in this role, you'll need to meet the following technical requirements: * Computer: Windows 10 or 11 (Macs and Chromebooks are not supported at this time) * Memory: 8GB of RAM * CPUs (Speed * Processors): 6 * Hard Drive: At least 500MB of free space * Sound: sound card (standard on most computers) * Up-to-date antivirus software * Access to high-speed, hardwired internet (no Wi-Fi or Satellite, please) * Dual monitors * A USB noise-cancelling headset * A webcam for certification and training purposes **Flexible Hours of Operation** As a Part-time Remote Call Center Representative, you'll enjoy flexible scheduling, where you use a self-scheduling platform to select your hours and work at your own pace. Our hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 08:00 PM ET. You'll be required to service at least 20 hours per week, with a preference for contractors who can service some hours on Mondays and Fridays. **Pay and Perks** This flexible opportunity pays independent contractors $13 per hour. Prior to supporting our client, you'll need to successfully complete a Certification class, which will take place from December 30th through January 8th. You'll receive $250 after you successfully complete certification and begin servicing.
