We're committed to delivering exceptional service, building strong relationships, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. **Job Summary** As a Part-time Remote Call Center Representative, you'll be the first point of contact for patients and caregivers, providing compassionate and professional support, answering questions, and resolving issues related to our payroll services. You'll work independently as an independent contractor, using a self-scheduling platform to select your hours and work at your own pace. **Key Responsibilities** * Answer incoming calls from patients and caregivers with empathy, professionalism, and a friendly demeanor * Assist with enrollment, program applications, and setup in applicable systems * Retrieve information to support caregivers with payroll-related inquiries * Utilize de-escalation techniques to resolve emotionally charged calls * Offer guidance and directions to patients and caregivers to effectively resolve issues * Document information and outcomes as necessary * Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues and provide exceptional service **Essential Qualifications** * At least one year of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or related field * Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software systems * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and internal teams * Great active listening skills, with the ability to empathize with patients and caregivers * Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately and confidently work with numbers and discuss money * Ability to multitask and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment * Quality-focused mindset, with a desire to achieve first call resolution whenever possible **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working in a remote or virtual environment * Familiarity with Medicaid programs and self-directed care * Certification in customer service or a related field * Experience working with sensitive or emotionally charged patients and caregivers **Home Office Environment** To ensure success in this role, you'll need to meet the following technical requirements: * Computer: Windows 10 or 11 (Macs and Chromebooks are not supported at this time) * Memory: 8GB of RAM * CPUs (Speed * Processors): 6 * Hard Drive: At least 500MB of free space * Sound: sound card (standard on most computers) * Up-to-date antivirus software * Access to high-speed, hardwired internet (no Wi-Fi or Satellite, please) * Dual monitors * A USB noise-cancelling headset * A webcam for certification and training purposes **Flexible Hours of Operation** As a Part-time Remote Call Center Representative, you'll enjoy flexible scheduling, where you use a self-scheduling platform to select your hours and work at your own pace. Our hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 08:00 PM ET. You'll be required to service at least 20 hours per week, with a preference for contractors who can service some hours on Mondays and Fridays. **Pay and Perks** This flexible opportunity pays independent contractors $13 per hour. Prior to supporting our client, you'll need to successfully complete a Certification class, which will take place from December 30th through January 8th. You'll receive $250 after you successfully complete certification and begin servicing. As an independent contractor, you'll enjoy significant savings in expenses related to transportation, clothing, childcare or eldercare, and food. You may also qualify for home office tax deductions, but you should consult with an accountant to determine eligibility.
