Develops patient education and community outreach materials in collaboration with marketing to inform the community and increase market share. Monitors performance metrics and ensures compliance with activities required to achieve and maintain practice-specific certifications. Conducts daily rounds on in-patients with physicians to ensure desired patient outcomes and coordinates care issues with the interdisciplinary team. Collaborates with case management on post-op discharge planning and strategies to decrease length of stay. Partners with nursing to develop strategies to improve Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) scores and meet organizational goals. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to be flexible and function in a stressful, fast-changing environment. • Must possess advanced knowledge in the specialty of Orthopedics and Orthopedic Nursing. • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook & Power Point preferred. • Skilled in providing age-appropriate education. • Professional and leadership skills, ability to interact appropriately with patients, families, treatment team, and physicians regarding care management interventions and illness adjustment issues. • Advanced knowledge of adult orthopedic treatment, care, and prevention.
