[Remote] Must be Local to WI || Dotnet Developer || W2 Role

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. VLS Systems Inc is seeking a Dotnet Developer with experience in C# .NET MVC and VB.NET Web Forms. The role involves working on existing projects as well as new initiatives, focusing on application development, front-end web design, and modernization of mainframe applications. Responsibilities • DB2 Mainframe experience, COBOL language, or experience modernizing mainframe COBOL applications into .NET or other modern languages • Document Creation experience such as: xPression, Adobe Experience Manager, Crystal Reports, or Telerik Reports • IOS .NET MAUI or PWA mobile development experience • Front-end web app UI design experience • Front-end web frameworks including React, Angular, Vue.js, HTMX, Alpine.js, Blazor Server, or similar • Kendo UI experience • Familiarity with applications running in IIS • Familiarity with PowerShell and/or experience with configuring CI/CD pipelines Skills • DB2 Mainframe experience, COBOL language, or experience modernizing mainframe COBOL applications into .NET or other modern languages • Document Creation experience such as: xPression, Adobe Experience Manager, Crystal Reports, or Telerik Reports • IOS .NET MAUI or PWA mobile development experience • Front-end web app UI design experience • Front-end web frameworks including React, Angular, Vue.js, HTMX, Alpine.js, Blazor Server, or similar • Kendo UI experience • Familiarity with applications running in IIS • Familiarity with PowerShell and/or experience with configuring CI/CD pipelines • Analytical and problem-solving skills. Has provided production support to applications post-production • Experience writing clear and concise technical documentation and communication • Excellent clear and concise communication skills, written and verbally • Experience with .NET application and web application design patterns • Application development expertise using .NET MVC with C# and JavaScript • Full stack development experience • Experience using CSS and HTML, and writing JavaScript based responsive HTML 5 applications • Documenting technical requirements and design • Requirements analysis • Experience with the full SDLC and knowledge of project management principles • Experience with authentication and authorization techniques • Techniques for proactively prevent and reactively respond to security threats • Experience performing unit and smoke tests • Experience with Bootstrap • MS SQL Server & SQL Client tools • Familiar with TFS/Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar version control systems • Experience with source control using Git • Familiar with Test Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing concepts and methods • Dataflow and structure modeling • Familiar with JIRA • Knowledge of VB.NET and ASP.NET Web Forms • Okta implementation experience • Proficiency with OIDC Company Overview • VLS Systems is an information technology company that provides system integration and custom software development services.
