Medical Assistant – Remote Monitoring (Orthopedic / BMI Focus) Location: Mostly Remote (NJ or Eastern PA preferred). Potential onsite support with orthopedic offices in the future. Type: Start out part time and transition to full time over 2-5 month period Compensation: Competitive, higher-end flexibility for strong performers About the Role We are a growing clinical services company partnering with orthopedic practices to improve surgical outcomes through BMI optimization and Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM/RTM). We’re hiring a Medical Assistant to manage the majority of patient monitoring interactions remotely. This is a structured, high-responsibility role focused on documentation, patient outreach, and compliant monitoring minute generation. Responsibilities • Conduct monthly RPM/RTM monitoring calls (weight, blood pressure, activity) • Accurately document and log monitoring minutes in platform • Enroll patients into monitoring programs • Identify and escalate clinical concerns to NP/provider • Follow structured protocols and decision trees • Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation Ideal Background • Experience in orthopedics or high-volume outpatient setting preferred • RPM/RTM experience a plus (not required) • Comfortable discussing weight, BMI, and lifestyle factors with patients • Strong documentation speed and attention to detail What We’re Looking For • Efficient and accountable • Comfortable making outbound patient calls • Organized and process-driven • Able to work independently in a remote environment This is not a basic rooming role.
