QA Manual Tester - W2 & Local to Austin

<p><strong>QA Tester</strong></p><p><strong>Remote – Must reside in Texas</strong></p><p><strong>2–3 Month Contract</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Security Requirement: CJIS Fingerprinting Required</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>Seeking a QA Tester to support the Kubepro Case Management System project. This role will focus on manual application testing, identifying defects, and ensuring system functionality meets project requirements before deployment.</p><p>The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, and experienced in testing applications to identify issues and improve system performance.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Perform manual testing of the Kubepro case management system.</li><li>Review application functionality and identify defects, bugs, and usability issues.</li><li>Document and track bugs using Azure DevOps.</li><li>Execute test cases and record results in Excel workbooks.</li><li>Collaborate with developers and project team members to resolve issues.</li><li>Validate fixes and conduct regression testing when needed.</li><li>Provide clear documentation of testing results and recommendations.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Mid–Senior level QA experience</li><li>Strong experience with manual software testing.</li><li>Ability to thoroughly review applications and identify defects.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.</li><li>Experience documenting and tracking defects.</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.</li><li>Must reside in Texas.</li><li>Must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) background check upon hire.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Experience using Azure DevOps for defect tracking.</li><li>Familiarity with SQL for basic data validation.</li><li>Experience with DevOps environments.</li><li>Exposure to Playwright or other testing automation tools.</li><li>Experience testing case management, CRM, or public safety systems.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p><ul><li>Fully remote position.</li><li>Candidates may use their own equipment if not local to Austin, TX</li></ul>
