Sr Cloud Network Engineer

Sr Cloud Network Engineer Location: Seattle, WA (Preferred) – Remote (PST hours OK) Duration: 9 months A leading biotech organization is seeking a Sr Cloud Network Engineer to help design and support a modern hybrid infrastructure environment. This role focuses on Azure and AWS cloud networking, enterprise network architecture, and Palo Alto firewall security, supporting both physical and virtual infrastructure. This is an opportunity to play a key role in a major infrastructure modernization and cloud transformation initiative. The engineer will help lift and modernize infrastructure, implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, and design scalable network architectures that support innovation within the biotech space. The environment encourages technical leadership, automation, and collaboration across engineering and business teams while allowing engineers to influence the long-term technology roadmap. Contract Duration: 9 months Required Skills & Experience · 7+ years of network engineering experience with enterprise infrastructure · Strong experience with cloud networking in Azure and AWS · Experience configuring and managing Cisco switches and routers · Deep understanding of network architecture and topology design (VLAN, subnetting, routing protocols, WAN) · Experience managing hybrid cloud infrastructures · Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and network security technologies · Experience with wired and wireless enterprise networking · Knowledge of network monitoring, logging, and security best practices · Strong troubleshooting skills across cloud and on-prem network environments · Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Desired Skills & Experience · Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code · Scripting experience with PowerShell and/or Python · Experience working with automation frameworks or YAML-based configuration · Experience with software-defined networking technologies such as VXLAN and TrustSec · Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent) · Experience within Biotech, Life Sciences, or Medical industry environments What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown · 40% Cloud Networking (Azure / AWS) · 30% Enterprise Networking (Cisco infrastructure) · 20% Network Security (Palo Alto firewalls) · 10% Infrastructure Automation (Terraform / scripting) Daily Responsibilities · 70% Hands On · 10% Management Duties · 20% Team Collaboration Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
