Industrial Designer I

In this role you will work with product development teams to provide design enhancements that meet market needs. We’re looking for a team member who can collaborate on design concepts and technical schematics to improve the appearance, performance and experience of our equipment. Responsibilities • Produce sketches or detailed drawings to enhance the design process. • Assist Project and Design Engineers with design changes or existing production machines and provide documentation required to implement changes. • Promote the use of consistent design guidelines. • Perform layout and design of new products using computer-aided design software. Requirements • Four-year college degree in Industrial Design or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. • No job-related work experience required, co-op or internship preferred. • Ability to effectively manage assigned tasks and projects to meet production and market demands. • Ability to use solid modeling/design software effectively. • Working knowledge of materials and production processes. • Control of relevant form development mechanisms including proportion systems, finish properties, color theory and composition.
