About TheColdCases.com
TheColdCases.com is an independent true crime media platform founded by investigative writer and interviewer Dustin Terry.
The website focuses on ethical storytelling, working directly with:
• Families of victims
• Investigative journalists
• Law enforcement professionals
• True crime experts
Rather than simply retelling cases, TheColdCases.com aims to humanize victims and elevate the voices of families who are still searching for justice.
The platform currently reaches 15,000+ readers per month and continues to grow through articles, interviews, and documentary-style content.
Dustin Terry has interviewed individuals across the true crime media industry, including journalists from NPR, creators connected to Pushkin Industries, and experts who work on real cold case investigations.
TheColdCases.com has also recently been invited to submit for the prestigious CrimeCon CLUE Awards, one of the most recognized honors in true crime storytelling.
About the CLUE Awards
The CrimeCon CLUE Awards celebrate excellence in true crime media, recognizing outstanding work across documentaries, podcasts, journalism, and investigative storytelling. The awards are presented annually at CrimeCon, one of the largest gatherings of true crime creators, investigators, and audiences in the world.
Since their launch, the awards have honored major productions from outlets like Netflix, ABC News, and Paramount+, as well as podcasts and creators who demonstrate leadership, ethical storytelling, and excellence in true crime reporting.
Being invited to submit places TheColdCases.com among a growing field of serious contributors to the true crime journalism community.
