Manufacturing Site Lean Experts | Techno-functional | Remote
Location: Would like them to be in CST but open to anywhere in US or Mexico. There MAY be some travel expected, expenses paid.
Duration: 12-18 mo + contract; possible hire
Day to Day: This person will be taksed with analyzing and decising new manufacturing site layouts and processes to maximize the site's efficiency. Asses and fix different factors such as lead time. invetory managmenet, max output, layout efficiency, packaging, etc. This person will come from an Engineering background and have migrated over to this path. We will also look at college graduates with Lean Certifications, Twin Engineering expereince and a MS Degree.
Expereince:
1) 2-5 years of experince as a Manaufacturing Lean Expert
2) Digital Twin Engineering expereince/knwoeldge -> "AZURE Digital Twin"

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Lean Engineer/Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and designing new manufacturing site layouts and processes to optimize efficiency, reduce lead times, manage inventory, and maximize output. This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement initiatives within our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Site Layout Design: Analyze and redesign manufacturing site layouts to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Process Optimization: Identify, assess, and implement process improvements to reduce lead time, improve inventory management, and increase overall production output.
• Lean Methodologies: Apply Lean principles to eliminate waste, streamline workflows, and enhance manufacturing efficiency.
• Digital Twin Engineering: Utilize Digital Twin technology, particularly Azure Digital Twin or similar platforms, to simulate and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data to identify inefficiencies and develop actionable insights for process improvement.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead and support continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing costs, improving quality, and increasing operational efficiency.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, supply chain, and engineering, to drive improvements across the manufacturing process.
• Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to junior engineers and manufacturing staff on Lean methodologies and best practices.
Qualifications:
• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or a related field).
• Master's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline preferred.
• Lean Certification required.
• Experience:
• 2-5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Lean Engineer or Expert.
• Hands-on experience with Digital Twin Engineering, specifically using Azure Digital Twin or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in Lean tools and techniques (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma).
• Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in packaging optimization and layout efficiency.
• Knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies and Industry 4.0.
