Remote Mutual Fund Legal Counsel

In this role, you will provide essential legal support to mutual funds and their associated service providers, ensuring compliance with federal securities laws and regulations. Your expertise will guide companies and boards in navigating complex legal frameworks, making impactful decisions that shape the financial futures of clients and communities. Join us to make a difference in the financial landscape!Accountabilities • Analyze issues arising under federal securities laws and provide practical legal advice to business partners. • Assist in the oversight of regulatory disclosure, filings, and interactions with the Securities and Exchange Commission. • Provide legal support for Management’s work with the Board of Trustees. • Assist in the oversight and conduct of Board meetings. • Prepare and/or lead the preparation of Board memoranda, resolutions, minutes, service provider contracts, and fund charter documents. • Support Management’s compliance function and related governance activities. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor required. • Minimum of four years of legal experience in investment management or securities practice. • Strong relationship management skills for effective collaboration. • Ability to deliver clear, concise, and well-organized legal advice and written work. • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills. • Experience overseeing and collaborating with paralegals and other legal professionals. • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and remote collaboration tools.
