Manager, Government Relations | Advisor, Government Regulatory - Remote
About the position The Insurance Information Exchange (“iiX”) is seeking a Manager, Government Relations to start immediately. The employee will be a member of our Government Relations team and will work collaboratively across teams to maintain data sources and build relationships with external agencies. Responsibilities • Maintain data acquisition contracts between DMVs and iiX, ensuring that agreements and required forms are appropriately maintained, updated, and changed as required. • Oversee the daily operations of iiX's government relations escalation function, ensuring timely and effective completion of all urgent tasks. • Supervise Government Relations Specialists and State Liaisons. • Monitor and communicate emerging developments to the iiX team. • Organize and facilitate meetings with key stakeholders to keep all internal parties informed about necessary information for project prioritization and completion. • Build and sustain robust relationships with stakeholders within state regulatory agencies, focusing primarily on operations and contracting functions. • Coordinate iiX's efforts to establish and nurture connections across various levels and functions within each agency. • Conduct research and analysis on key regulatory and legislative issues, providing informed advice to iiX leadership. • Lead technical and operational projects as assigned. • Ensure the timely and comprehensive delivery of project-related information to iiX's Product and IT teams. • Represent iiX/Verisk in associations and trade organizations. Requirements • Education: BA or BS. • Experience: 5+ years in data acquisition, technical escalation, contract management, corporate government affairs, public policy, government, and/or trade associations preferred. • Specific knowledge of FCRA, DPPA, and related regulatory and legislative environments preferred. • Experience in the insurance sector a plus.
