Company Description We are in the early stages of launching an ambitious new nonprofit arts initiative, and we are seeking an experienced grant writer and fundraising strategist to help us build the philanthropic foundation for this work. This role is ideal for someone interested in serving as a Fractional Development Officer during a formative stage of organizational growth. Led by the visionary founders of the Gorge Amphitheatre, our team is small, entrepreneurial, and deeply mission-driven. We are developing innovative arts programming that brings audiences together for world-class cultural experiences in one of the most spectacular natural landscapes in the Pacific Northwest, adjacent to the iconic Gorge Amphitheatre. Role Description We are looking for a Fractional Development Officer who can help us translate this vision into a strategic and sustainable fundraising model. We especially welcome interest from development professionals who enjoy working with visionary early-stage arts organizations. (A Fractional Development Officer is a seasoned, part-time executive providing high-level fundraising strategy and leadership to nonprofits -- on retainer or project basis -- to develop campaigns, manage donor relationships, mentor teams, and set performance metrics.) What We’re Looking For We are seeking someone who can partner with us to develop a comprehensive philanthropy strategy that includes: • Foundation and grant funding • Major individual gifts • Corporate partnerships and sponsorships • Online and grassroots giving • Donor cultivation and relationship strategy • CRM and donor infrastructure planning In addition to writing grants, this role will help shape the overall philanthropic roadmap for the organization during its early growth phase. Project Details • Contract Position / Remote / Flexible Schedule • Less than 20 hours per week, depending on scope of work • 3–6 month engagement • Potential for continued advisory work as the organization grows Qualifications We would love to hear from professionals who have: • Significant experience in grant writing and foundation fundraising • Built or advised development programs from the ground up • Experience with major donor strategy • Familiarity with arts and cultural organizations (preferred but not required) Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
