MBA Deal Origination Fellow [Team-Based Fellowship]
South Grand | Los Angeles, CA
Part-time Fellowship Program
About South Grand
South Grand is a modern deal origination firm focused on relationship-driven opportunity sourcing, qualification, and strategic introductions across durable lower middle market sectors. We work with a practical, people-first approach rooted in fit, timing, discretion, and long-term alignment.
Our fellowship is designed for high potential MBA candidates and recent MBA graduates who want real exposure to business development, market research, strategic communication, and transaction-oriented workflow. This is not a passive internship or purely academic program. Fellows will contribute to live projects and gain practical experience in how opportunities are identified, evaluated, and moved forward.
Program Structure
This is a team-based fellowship, and applicants must apply in teams of two.
Each team must include two distinct roles:
1. Research & Strategy Fellow
This role is responsible for analytical support, market research, company research, qualification thinking, written summaries, and helping shape how opportunities are evaluated.
2. Outreach & Business Development Fellow
This role is responsible for communication support, outreach execution, follow-up discipline, relationship development support, and helping move live opportunities forward through organized action.
The strongest teams will show clear complementary strengths across both functions. One person should be more naturally wired toward structured analysis and written thinking. The other should be stronger in communication, interpersonal confidence, and execution.
