Senior Platform Engineer – Kubernetes

Job Description: • Contribute as both an individual contributor and a mentor, guiding teammates within the Cloud Platform Engineering team • Design, build, and maintain automated infrastructure using Terraform and AWS services • Develop advanced pipelines to support application deployment across monolithic, stateless, and serverless architectures • Design frameworks aligned with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and security standards ensuring compliance and resilience • Deliver solutions in high-pressure, multi-customer environments, addressing complex needs with speed and precision • Develop tactical plans for IaC strategy and implementation across products with varying maturity levels • Implement and manage IAM policies, permission sets, Security Groups, NACLs, and VPC configurations to maintain strong cloud security posture • Partner with internal and external stakeholders on design and architecture decisions and provide clear project updates to leadership • Architect and develop new AWS services, leveraging tools for scalable, cloud-native solutions • Establish and enforce infrastructure design best practices, templates, and processes that elevate engineering consistency across the organization Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Minimum of 8+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically with 2+ years in an AVP level role or external equivalent • 10–15 years of experience in cloud automation and infrastructure development preferred • 8+ years managing IAM, permission sets, NACLs, Security Groups, and other security controls • Proven mastery in Terraform with extensive hands-on implementation experience • 6+ years building pipelines with GitOps (ArgoCD, FluxCD) and automation platforms (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) • Strong background in deploying Kubernetes and service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd) • Experience with Karpenter and similar tools to enable automated scaling of APIs in the cloud • 6+ years coding in Python, Shell, or equivalent scripting languages for automation • Proficient in EKS, EC2, RDS, Lambda, Step Functions, VPC, IAM, and firewall configurations Benefits: • PTO and paid holidays • Various benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, and 401K Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
