Staff Accountant
Honest Health is a company focused on transforming primary care through purpose and partnership. They are seeking a Staff Accountant to drive the monthly close process and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP.
Responsibilities
- Perform general accounting duties include various components of the month-end close processes, including journal entry preparation and reconciliations
- Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance with GAAP
- Consolidated balance sheet and income statement analysis
- Process vendor invoices accurately and timely, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and compliance with company policies while maintaining up‑to‑date and organized AP records and annual 1099 reporting
- Providing accounting support to various constituents (e.g., FP&A, Actuary, HR, legal)
- Perform other related responsibilities as assigned
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or relative work experience
- 1+ years of accounting work experience
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations
- Healthcare industry experience
- Intercompany allocations and system automation experience
- Microsoft Excel (Pivot Table, Lookup functions, etc.)
