Business Analyst

CGI is a leading IT and business consulting services firm seeking an entry-level Business Analyst who is passionate about solving challenging client problems. The role involves supporting project management and business process optimization efforts, working closely with clients and cross-functional teams to analyze business needs and implement solutions.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects to ensure timely delivery and alignment with business objectives
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify business process improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and document business processes
  • Support the development and implementation of process optimization strategies
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to management
  • Participate in meetings and workshops to facilitate project discussions and decision-making
  • Provide administrative support to project teams as needed
  • Lead client meetings to provide relevant project updates
  • Document meeting minutes and ensure follow-up on action items
  • Organize and maintain project documentation for easy access and reference
  • Assist in agile project management activities, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups
  • Facilitate communication between project teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency

Skills

  • An interim Secret clearance is required to begin working onsite with our client, and a Secret clearance must be maintained throughout the project duration
  • Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment as a part of an agile/client facing team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with Camtasia video software, Adobe Captivate or equivalent
  • Proficient with process mapping software such as Microsoft Visio
  • Experience in government functions such as federal acquisition or financial management
