Position: Dean of Students
Rate: $109,942 - $120,712 (Depending on education and experience)
Calendar: 200-Day
Notes: 23/24 School Year

Primary Responsibility:
To assist the principal in implementing the educational goals of the Puyallup School District and to serve as the educational leader of the school program.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provides instructional leadership and professional development to all staff members.
• Assists principal in developing a positive effective learning climate.
• Assists in maintaining student discipline and handles special cases as necessary.
• Assists with the evaluation of certificated staff members.
• Works on committees pertinent to the operation of the District.
• Supervises the reporting and monitoring of student attendance and works with the principal for investigative follow-up actions.
• Works with faculty in compiling the annual budget requests.

Qualifications Required:

• Valid state certificated staff endorsement required.
• Master's degree in Educational Administration preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a classroom teacher preferred.
• Experience as an Assistant Principal or Principal preferred.
• Valid state certificate to practice as a school administrator preferred.

Licenses/Special Requirements:

• Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance
• Washington State teaching, ESA or School Administrator certificate
• Valid Washington State Driver?s License
