Job description: Johnsburg School District 12 is currently seeking qualified individuals to fill vacancies as Substitute Teachers.
Partial and full days available on a regular basis.
Please access this for our public school calendar for the 2023-2024 school year.
Substitute Pay ranges from $125-$248.65 per day (including TRS) depending on assignment.

REQUIREMENTS:

To work as a Substitute Teacher you must hold one of the following:

• A valid Substitute Teaching Licenese
• A Professional Educator License
• An Educator License with Stipulations or
• A Paraprofessional License with a Bachelors Degree.

If you do not already hold a qualifying license, we will assist you through the process of obtaining a Substitute Teaching License. To qualify you must:

• Hold a bachelor?s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
• Beginning January 1, 2023, applicants enrolled in an approved Illinois educator preparation program may qualify for the substitute license if they have completed at least 90 semester hours of coursework.

We will also pay for you to complete a physical and background check.

NOTES:

• Substitute licenses are valid for substitute teaching in all grades of public schools, prekindergarten through grade 12.
• Substitute licenses are valid for 5 years, and may be renewed with the payment of registration fees.
