Summary of Position: Indiana Wesleyan is accepting applications for the Communications program. Courses include Intro to Human Communication and Interpersonal Communication.
Duties and Responsibilities
Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.
Education
- Preferred Credential: Master's degree in communications.
Experience
- Teaching experience in a university setting,
- At least one year of online teaching experience required.
- A minimum of three years of work experience in the field of communications (PR, Communications Specialist, etc.)
Required Skills
- Mastery of course content;
- Knowledge of current communications theories;
- Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., BrightspaceCanvas LMS, Blackboard Learn);
- Experience with digital media tools (video, podcasting, social media platforms) ;
- Basic multimedia content creation and evaluation;
- Understanding of digital communication trends and audience engagement;
- Knowledge of professional, organizational, and digital communication practices.
