Our Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging (MSP) team is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge robotic solutions that transform how products move through fulfillment centers worldwide. We are seeking a visionary Lead Robotics QA Requirements & Test Manager who shares our passion for innovation and is excited to drive quality excellence across our portfolio of next-generation automation systems.

If you thrive in an iterative, fast-paced environment where you can apply state-of-the-art technologies to solve extreme-scale real-world challenges and witness your work directly benefiting millions of end-users, this is your moment. Join arenaflex and help us shape the future of robotic automation!

About the Role

As a Lead Robotics QA Requirements & Test Manager within our MSP team, you will serve as a critical bridge between product development, engineering teams, and operational stakeholders. You will be responsible for converting complex functional requirements into comprehensive test plans that our QA Manual Testing team can execute with precision, then synthesize those learnings into compelling Validation Test Reports that drive product improvement.

This leadership position demands a unique blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills. You will partner with multiple cross-functional teams including Product Teams, Operations, Maintenance, Process Engineering, and Operations Engineering to ensure that every solution we deliver meets the highest standards of quality and performance.

What You'll Do

The primary mission of the arenaflex MSP team is to drive innovation across all aspects of mechatronics and sustainable packaging. We develop industrial hardware and control machines including robotic cells, autonomous vehicles, sortation systems, packing technologies, and advanced packaging materials. We forge strategic partnerships with key stakeholders across Operations, Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME), ACES (Architecture, Common, Enabling, and Shared services), Supply Chain, Transportation, Worldwide Design Engineering (WWDE), and more to ensure we deliver robust products that seamlessly integrate into the arenaflex Fulfillment network.

As our QA Requirements, Test Plans & Reports Manager, you will:

  • Translate Functional Specifications: Start from functional specifications and requirements provided by the product team and suppliers, then decompose them into lower-level requirements that are measurable, repeatable, and "testable" in both virtual and live testing environments.
  • Develop Comprehensive Test Plans: Create detailed test plans to qualify components, systems, and product features using a strategic combination of virtual simulation testing and physical validation testing environments.
  • Analyze & Validate Results: Extract critical performance parameters from operational requirements and develop sophisticated test plans to measure the system's likelihood of achieving intended performance targets.
  • Identify Performance Gaps: Recognize potential discrepancies that could impact system success based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), thoroughly document them, and characterize their impact on end-users—enabling product teams to address performance gaps proactively.
  • Generate Test Documentation: Produce comprehensive test reports including Discrepancy Reports, Configuration Documentation, Functional Test Logs, Fault Response Logs, Root Cause Analysis Reports, Fault Reporting, and Metric Validation Reports.
  • Support Field Testing: Remain actively involved in assessing product performance during field testing, collecting vital metrics, and evaluating operational and customer impact.
  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain full compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies throughout all testing activities.

Who You Are

We are looking for an exceptional leader who brings a unique combination of technical depth, business acumen, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have:

Essential Qualifications

  • Analytical Excellence: Strong analytical skills combined with business understanding to translate complex functional requirements into actionable, testable plans.
  • Multi-Stakeholder Experience: Broad experience and exposure working across multiple stakeholders including Operations, Reliability Maintenance Engineering, ACES, Process Engineering, Operations Engineering, and Worldwide Design Engineering.
  • Systems Integration Expertise: Deep skills in complex systems integration and validation, including the ability to navigate high-degree environments with ambiguity.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: The ability to work successfully across multiple large engineering, testing, and operations teams at a strategic level while driving quality across all products.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills across diverse teams.
  • Critical Thinking: Strong analytical and abstract thinking capabilities.
  • Organization: Outstanding time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple high-impact initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related technical field
  • Experience in large-scale automation or robotics quality assurance
  • Background in warehouse automation or fulfillment center operations
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization tools
  • Experience with both virtual testing environments and physical validation testing
  • Six Sigma or similar quality certifications
  • Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments
