Project Manager (Colorado Military & First Responders)
Kindbridge Research Institute (KRI) is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to understanding and addressing the impacts of gaming and gambling on mental health. We conduct cutting-edge research, develop innovative programs, and advocate for responsible gaming practices.
Why This Role Matters:
As our Project Manager, you will lead the implementation of KRI’s military-focused programming, including Stigma Stand Down (SSD), while supporting the early development of a first responder-focused program in Colorado. In this role, you’ll help bring meaningful behavioral health and responsible gaming resources to military members, veterans, and first responders—communities that often face unique barriers to care. Your work will play an important role in shaping how these programs grow and reach those who need them most.
What You'll Do:
Lead implementation of military-focused programs, including Stigma Stand Down (SSD), across partner sites and communities
Turn strategy into action by managing project plans, timelines, and execution from kickoff through completion
Build and manage partnerships with military, veteran, first responder, and community-based organizations
Serve as the primary point of contact for partners throughout program delivery
Coordinate trainings, outreach efforts, and events in collaboration with internal teams
Support development and rollout of a first responder-focused program in Colorado
Track program performance and maintain documentation to support reporting and impact measurement
Identify risks, adjust plans as needed, and contribute to ongoing program improvement and growth
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
3+ years of experience in project management, program implementation, or operations
Strong ability to execute projects independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Experience building and managing external partnerships and stakeholder relationships
Proven ability to translate strategy into clear plans and drive execution
Must be based in Colorado with the ability to travel statewide (~30%)
Nice To Have:
Military or veteran background
Experience working with military, veteran, or first responder populations
Experience in nonprofit, public health, or community-based program environments
Experience facilitating trainings, workshops, or group discussions
Work Culture & Values:
Flexibility: While this role requires up to 30% travel across the Denver-Metro/I-25 Corridor, you’ll enjoy the freedom to work from wherever you're most productive within the state
Autonomous & Impact-Driven: We believe in giving our team members the trust, tools, and support to own their work
Collaborative & Innovative: You’ll be part of a dynamic, mission-driven team that values open communication, learning, and experimentation
We offer a health insurance reimbursement for plan premiums and a 401(k) with employer match to support your retirement goals
