Full-Time School Registered Nurse (RN) Job Opening

Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time school-based role in Lansing, KS. Position Overview: As a Registered Nurse (RN) in a school-based setting, you will provide essential nursing care to students, work closely with school staff, and play a vital role in the health and well-being of the student population. This is a contract position with the potential for renewal based on performance. Job Duties Include: • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed for students • Monitoring student health and managing chronic health conditions • Developing and implementing individualized health plans for students • Performing health assessments and screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, etc.) • Providing first aid and emergency care for students when necessary • Assisting with the development and implementation of special education health plans • Collaborating with parents, teachers, and other staff to ensure students' health needs are met • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations • Providing health education and guidance to students and staff • Maintaining accurate health records and documentation • Assisting with student health-related issues during school activities or field trips Requirements: • Active RN license, in good standing, as required by the state of Kansas • Experience working in a school-based setting or with children, especially students with special education needs, is highly preferred • Ability to manage student health needs in a school environment • Knowledge of local and state regulations regarding school health services • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and support staff • Must pass all required background checks and screenings Benefits Offered: • Weekly direct deposit for pay • Comprehensive health care options • 401(k) with employer match • Tuition reimbursement programs • Additional traditional benefits for full-time employees How to Apply: Qualified professionals who meet all the required qualifications are encouraged to apply.
