About the position The Analytic Consultant at UnitedHealthcare plays a crucial role in providing strategic consultative services focused on health plan performance analytics. This position aims to support UnitedHealth Group's mission of being a trusted advisor in the healthcare industry. The consultant will work closely with complex employer groups, delivering client-specific insights and engaging in storytelling through data analysis. The role emphasizes collaboration within a dedicated strategic team and requires strong communication skills to present findings effectively. Responsibilities • Provide year-round strategic consultative services focused on health plan performance analytics. , • Create compelling, client-specific insights and content for various client engagements. , • Present client engagements as determined by the Strategist based on client needs and resource availability. , • Focus on distilling actionable insights from data and reporting. , • Master data, tools, and resources to tell a story with actionable insights. , • Collaborate and cross-train with dedicated strategic team members as needed. , • Provide feedback to team members to support leadership goals around talent assessment and career planning. , • Collaborate with the broader Account Management Team and other internal partners to address complex customer analytic needs. , • Communicate information openly and professionally as a strategic consultative subject matter expert. Requirements • Bachelor's degree , • 3+ years in a customer-facing role, preferably in sales, account management, TPA, or consulting , • Intermediate or higher skills in Office 365 applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint , • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills; successful virtual presentation experience is a plus , • Demonstrated presentation skills, preferably with a director-level audience , • Knowledgeable about healthcare cost and quality topics and emerging industry trends. Nice-to-haves • Experience in data analytics, data science, statistics, or underwriting.
