- Gather data using closed circuit audio/visual equipment and electrophysiological recording instruments.
- Utilize electrophysiological recording instruments using both surface recording electrodes and electrophysiological recording instruments.
- Perform record keeping data using the computer and maintain daily logs of patients' status.
- Use critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to work with minimal supervision.
- Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics or related patient care field
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association
- One year experience as a non-registered EEG Technician irst year completion of Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics
- American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) credentialing for Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) within two years of hire
- First year completion of Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics may substitute for one year experience as a non-registered EEG Technician
- Two years direct patient care experience may substitute for Associate's Degree
- Ability to assist with positioning and transporting of patients, pushing beds, carts and wheelchairs.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Possible exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids.
- Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
