Job description: About SequelSequel Med Tech is an early-stage company developing the next generation of precision drug delivery devices.Job OverviewWe are seeking a Manager of Instructional Design, Clinical Product and Training to create impactful internal and external educational and training materials. This individual will develop a range of clinical product training materials for both internal teams and external users, including instructor-led training, e-learnings, job aids, and professional educational and training materials for people with diabetes.The Manager of Instructional Design, Clinical Product and Training will work closely with a team of subject matter experts, trainers, and stakeholders to produce cohesive, engaging, and accessible training experiences. The ideal candidate will have experience in instructional design, strong attention to detail, outstanding collaborative skills, an understanding of diabetes and health literacy, and a passion for creating educational materials that are both innovative and aligned with organizational goals and branding.Job Responsibilities and Essential DutiesEffectively partner with internal and external subject matter experts to develop internally- and externally-facing clinical product training materialsExecute full development lifecycle of training materials development including needs assessment, design (storyboard creation, scripting, image sourcing, facilitator notes), and final development.Create training materials for Sequel employees such as instructor-led trainings in PowerPoint, job aids in Adobe Acrobat PDF, and e-learnings in Articulate Rise and StorylineDevelop professional external facing print and video-based educational materials for people with diabetesAlign with health literacy best practices to create clearly worded, easy to understand materials for externally facing materialsPartner with marketing team to create best-in-class external facing materials that align with organizational brandingAssist Digital Designer with scripting, storyboarding and video editingCollaborate with a team of subject matter experts, learning developers, and stakeholders to produce cohesive and comprehensive educational experiencesMinimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in Instructional Design or related field; or 3+ years of related instructional design experience within the medical device industryPortfolio including design documents and developed training and learning assets; preferred inclusion of example slide deck, e-learning, job aid, and handoutsRequired Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAttention to detail and the ability to collaborate with others are critical for this roleIntermediate to advanced experience in partnering with subject matter experts to obtain content and training best practices for internal and external facing educational and training experiencesIntermediate to advanced experience in full development lifecycle including needs assessment, design (storyboard creation, scripting, image sourcing, facilitator notes), and final development of slide decks (Microsoft PowerPoint), e-learnings (Articulate Rise and Storyline), job aids and handouts (Adobe Acrobat PDF)Basic to intermediate knowledge of graphic design principles with skills in Adobe Suite preferredIntermediate skill level in video editing with willingness to be coached to advanced skills in video editing and creation in Adobe PremiereExceptional ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, iterative environmentExceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teamsA passion for developing educational experiences that are both engaging and impactful, with demonstrated success in bringing innovative ideas to lifeKnowledge of accessibility and WCAG standards is strongly preferredKnowledge of diabetes is strongly preferredPreferred but not required experience with medical device training, software as a medical device and diabetes therapeutic areaPosition is remotely based but requires occasional national travel for department meetings and to the home office in Manchester, NHSequel Med Tech provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.At Sequel, we believe that when you thrive, we thrive.
