About the position The FT Evening Emergency Shelter Case Aide position at Open Door Mission involves providing compassionate support to individuals experiencing homelessness, addiction, or trauma. This full-time role requires working from Friday to Tuesday during evening hours, focusing on maintaining safety and security standards while assisting guests at the emergency shelter. The position emphasizes a balance of professional best practices and Christ-centered compassion, aiming to restore hope and change lives in the Rochester community. Responsibilities • Provide support and encouragement to adult guests at the emergency shelter. , • Maintain safety and security standards of the Emergency Shelter. , • Assist with CPR, First Aid, and Narcan administration as needed. , • Engage in peer-to-peer employment opportunities in mental health and addiction. , • Participate in a 2-hour shadowing opportunity as part of the interview process. Requirements • CPR Certification , • First Aid Certification , • 3 years of relevant experience or peer coach certificate or equivalent , • Ability to work full-time hours from Friday to Tuesday, 4pm-12am.
