We are seeking a passionate and experienced Music Teacher to join our team at Turn of River School in Stamford, CT, as a long-term substitute. Job Summary:
- Teach music classes to students, promoting their musical development and appreciation
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, tailored to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to ensure academic success
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the community to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in music education, attending professional development opportunities as required
Requirements:
- Valid Connecticut teacher certificate in Music (049), PK-12
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching music, with a strong understanding of curriculum design and implementation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in technology, including operating systems, office suites, and educational software
What We Offer:
- Competitive daily rate: $155 per day (certified), $105 per day (non-certified) for the first 30 days, increasing to $155 per day from the 31st day
