We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Motor Vehicle Regulations Technician I - Spanish Speaking to join our team at the Office of the Illinois Secretary of State. As a key member of our Vehicle Services division, you will play a crucial role in reviewing and analyzing files, records, and documents to determine the status of driving privileges or vehicle registration enforcement actions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze abstracts of driving records, insurance documents, and other pertinent information to determine action to be taken
- Provide routine technical information to the general public, medical practitioners, and other stakeholders
- Initiate updates to driving or vehicle registration records and implement decisions
- Research and analyze computer file interactions to identify and resolve errors
- Perform other duties as required or assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma and one year of responsible clerical experience dealing with laws, rules, or regulations
- Working knowledge of applicable portions of the Illinois Vehicle Code
- Working knowledge of business English, composition, and office practices and procedures
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and make decisions in accordance with applicable laws
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, and translate and interpret for Spanish speaking customers
