About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Applications Engineer to drive business growth and technical support in the Semiconductor and Electronics Industry. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with the Sales Director to develop and implement a strategic business development plan, identifying and securing new business opportunities across the Americas. Your technical expertise in pneumatic, fluid control, automation, and reliability solutions will enable you to provide exceptional support to customers, helping them achieve their operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and demonstrate a deep understanding of our products and capabilities for the Semiconductor and Electronics Industry
- Lead technical aspects of the sales process, from design concept to closing new business deals
- Execute a business development plan to grow existing and new customers through engineered solutions
- Maintain strong relationships with decision-makers in engineering, R&D, and procurement departments
- Create value by using technical knowledge to improve customer equipment and machine design
- Lead product training for distributor partners and at customer sites and trade shows
- Manage new business opportunities and document activities using Salesforce CRM
- Develop content for webinars, white papers, and other marketing activities
- Support new product development and growth hub strategies
- Manage and present complex projects throughout the sales cycle
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of technical and commercial sales experience or equivalent experience in outside industrial sales, field application engineering, or technical support
- Working knowledge of electric actuation, motion control, fluid power, and/or mechatronics
- Proven track record of identifying, evaluating, and commercializing new business opportunities
- Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong project management and organizational skills
Nice-to-Haves:
- Certified Fluid Power Pneumatic Specialist
- Experience in industrial controls across multiple technical disciplines
- Higher level of probing and listening skills for value proposition development
- Passion for growth and adaptability to new technology
