2025 Summer Remote Editorial Internship - Children's Division

Join our dynamic team at Penguin Random House and discover the world of publishing! We're offering a unique opportunity for a remote editorial internship in our Children's division, where you'll gain hands-on experience and insight into the publishing process. As a leading publisher of children's books, we're committed to helping authors bring their stories to life and finding innovative ways to engage young readers worldwide.

In this 10-week paid internship, you'll work closely with our editorial team to evaluate submissions, assist with copywriting and research, and attend virtual editorial meetings. You'll have the chance to work on a variety of projects, from board books to young adult fiction, and develop your skills in editing, publishing, and marketing.

As an intern, you'll be exposed to the inner workings of the publishing industry through panels, networking events, and employee speaker series. You'll also have the opportunity to connect with our team of publishing professionals and learn from their expertise. Our internship program is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the publishing process and help you build a strong foundation for a career in the industry.

Internship Details:

  • 10-week paid remote internship (28 hours/week, $21/hour)
  • June 9, 2025 - August 18, 2025
  • Must be available to work full-time on or before June 2026
  • Must reside in the U.S. for the duration of the internship program
  • Must be over the age of 18

Requirements and Eligibility:

  • No specific major or degree required - we welcome applicants from all backgrounds and disciplines
  • A passion for children's literature and a desire to learn about the publishing industry
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
