HFMG Clinic LPN - Gastroenterology at Health First

About the position Responsibilities • Assist physician in all procedures as instructed. • Maintain all stock in treatment rooms and rotate dated medications and supplies. • Collect blood and/or samples using sterile techniques and process with correct paperwork. • Sterilize all equipment/instruments using proper techniques. • Administer medications as ordered and document accordingly. • Provide leadership by working cooperatively with nursing and patient team personnel. • Assist in the cost-effective use of equipment and materials. • Complete documentation supporting billable activities in a timely manner. • Maintain documentation of patients' vital signs, drug allergies, and complaints. • Under the supervision of an RN, case manage patients with their wound care. • Apply dressings as ordered by the physician. Requirements • Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse licensure from a credentialed program supported by the Florida Board of Nursing. • Current Florida LPN license. • Must hold and maintain current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date. • Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills. • Ability to work in stressful environments. • Ability to assess and quickly interpret data and assist physicians in patient care. • Demonstrates leadership ability and flexibility. • Knowledge of exposure to biohazardous waste, MSDA substances, and unknown diseases.
