About the position
Responsibilities
• Perform a variety of tasks under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
• Comply with state and federal laws regarding pharmacy operations.
• Utilize knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical terminology in daily tasks.
• Execute mathematical calculations related to medication dispensing.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Licensed or registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of practice is required.
• Completion of Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) recognized Educational School/Training Program is preferred.
• 1 year pharmacy experience is preferred.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician achieved within 12 months of hire or enrolled in Doctorate of Pharmacy Program is required for Illinois applicants.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician achieved within 12 months of hire or enrolled in Doctorate of Pharmacy Program is preferred for Wisconsin applicants.
Nice-to-haves
• Completion of Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) recognized Educational School/Training Program is preferred.
