Job Title: Remote School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) – Michigan

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) licensed in Michigan to join our team. In this role, you will work with K-12 students in public and/or charter school settings, providing virtual occupational therapy services that support their academic and functional success.
This position is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to provide high-quality services from the comfort of your own workspace while collaborating with educators, support staff, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct virtual occupational therapy evaluations and assessments in accordance with Michigan state and school district guidelines.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
• Provide teletherapy services to students in alignment with IEP goals and school schedules.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, session notes, progress reports, and other required documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including special education teachers, speech-language pathologists, school psychologists, and parents/guardians.
• Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of IEPs.
• Provide consultation and support to school staff and families to promote student success in virtual and in-person learning environments.
• Stay up-to-date on best practices, legal requirements, and technologies related to virtual occupational therapy.
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current Michigan Occupational Therapy License (Required).
• NBCOT certification (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a school-based setting (preferred).
• Experience with virtual/teletherapy platforms and tools (preferred).
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a remote caseload effectively.
• Access to reliable internet and secure, HIPAA-compliant workspace.
