Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse - RN Pediatric Super Pool Tier II, you will perform direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, with an emphasis on pediatric acute and critically ill patients. You will organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document, and maintain individualized, family-centered, and holistic plans of care. You will also participate in MCCH initiatives and process improvement, maintaining high-quality age-specific care for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and young adult populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients, including acute and critically ill patients
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
- Participate in MCCH initiatives and process improvement
- Maintain high-quality age-specific care for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and young adult populations
- Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- If hired after 6/1/12, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position
- 3-6 years RN experience in pediatrics according to agreement
- Ability to work in 4 of the following areas, 2 of which must be critical care: NICU, PICU, CHSU, Peds ED, 6D, 6N, Stem Cell Transplant (pediatric patients)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
- STABLE must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
