GIS Developer 100% Remote
This is a Senior GIS Developer opportunity to support a Randstad client in the Washington D.C. area, focusing on advanced application development and system integration within their enterprise platform. The successful candidate will leverage the Esri ArcGIS Enterprise platform and various programming tools to design, develop, and integrate custom ArcGIS applications. A core part of this role involves building seamless connections between the ArcGIS platform and other critical corporate applications, ensuring robust data flow and functionality across the organization. This position requires a highly experienced developer capable of working independently on complex, concurrent projects, contributing expertise in geospatial analysis, database management, and system best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain custom ArcGIS Applications using the Esri development platform and standard programming languages.
Design and implement integrations between the client's Esri ArcGIS Enterprise platform and various other corporate applications.
Perform advanced tasks including database management (SQL Server), ArcGIS data/map service management, geoprocessing, and geospatial analysis.
Create, enhance, and meticulously document best practices and workflows for ArcGIS system integration and solution development.
Apply expertise in common development tools, third-party APIs, and middleware to ensure robust system connectivity.
Manage multiple development projects concurrently while maintaining a high standard of quality and documentation.
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or GIS.
10+ years of relevant experience in software development and integration using common programming methodologies and tools.
Proficiency in the following technologies:
Esri development tools (ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro/Desktop).
Programming languages: Python and JavaScript.
Database management: SQL Server.
Integration: Use of third-party APIs and middleware.
Demonstrated ability to perform advanced ArcGIS data and map service management, geoprocessing, and map compilation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Desired Qualifications
Hands-on experience with the integration of the ArcGIS platform with other applications using third-party APIs and/or the ArcGIS API.
Experience in ArcGIS Experience Builder application and widget development/configuration.
