Job Overview

As a Member Service Representative at blithequark, you will be the voice of our organization, providing exceptional telephone assistance to Medicaid members and providers. Your role will involve addressing a wide range of inquiries, including eligibility, provider changes, and requests for ID cards. We strive to provide an outstanding experience to our callers every time, and we are looking for individuals with strong customer skills to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering inbound member and provider calls and responding to inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, services, prior authorization requirements, extra benefits, and programs.
  • Utilizing high-speed internet connectivity with secure service via an ethernet cable (note: Wi-Fi is not permitted) to ensure seamless and secure operations.
  • Participating in comprehensive training provided by blithequark, which includes equipment and ongoing support to ensure your success in the role.
  • Adhering to the training schedule (first 6 weeks: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday) and production schedule (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday) to maintain our high standards of service.

Essential Qualifications

  • Must reside within 50 miles of Charleston, WV, and be able to commute to the office when necessary due to prolonged technical issues.
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with members and providers, both orally and in written form, and meet performance standards, attendance requirements, and call quality goals.
  • Prove self-sufficiency and the ability to work from home, leveraging your organizational skills and discipline to achieve success in a remote work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working remotely in a call center setting, with a proven track record of managing your time and priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare, which would be a significant asset in providing informed and empathetic support to our members and providers.

Education and Pay Range

A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. The typical pay range for this role is $17.00 - $25.15 per hour, which represents the base hourly rate for all positions in this job grade. The actual base salary offer will depend on factors such as experience, education, geography, and other relevant considerations.
