We work with academic leaders, industry experts, and highly skilled engineers to enable our clients to generate new and sophisticated insights from big data. **Job Summary** As a Senior Data Engineer at blithequark, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a production data pipeline that supports the training and production of machine learning models. This position is focused on the US Federal Sales Division and will play a critical role in the growth and development of our machine-enhancing sales force. You will work closely with our core IT team to support the development and production data pipeline, review and implement data engineering best practices consistent with industry standards, and take the first step towards your dream job. **Responsibilities** * Support the implementation of recent technology packages that support US Federal Market Data Science, including requirements gathering and solution analysis. * Work closely with our core IT team to support the development and production data pipeline. * Review and implement data engineering best practices consistent with industry standards. * Develop and maintain a production data pipeline that supports the training and production of machine learning models. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data engineering projects and initiatives. * Design, develop, and deploy scalable data pipelines using various technologies such as Apache Hive, Spark, or Hadoop. * Develop and maintain data models, data warehouses, and data lakes to support business intelligence and analytics. * Ensure data quality, integrity, and security by implementing data governance and compliance policies. * Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment of data engineering projects. * Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering. **Requirements** * S. citizenship is required. * You must live in the United States. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience. * At least five years of professional experience related to data engineering in an enterprise environment and at least three years of experience supporting end-to-end development of scalable data pipelines, including monitoring and support for production. * At least 3 years of experience in data warehousing, relational databases, JSON, Apache Hive, Spark, or Hadoop, or related technologies and strong skills in Python and SQL. * Experience in a US Federal agency. * Experience with the Cloudera platform and Docker containers. **Preferred Qualifications** * Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. * Experience with cloud-based data engineering platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure. * Experience with containerization using Docker. * Experience with data governance and compliance policies. * Experience with data quality and integrity tools. * Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. **What We Offer** * Competitive salary and benefits package. * Opportunities for career growth and professional development. * Collaborative and dynamic work environment. * Flexible work arrangements, including remote work options and flexible hours. * Comprehensive health care coverage, including health, dental, and vision insurance. * Retirement savings plans, including 401(k) matching. * Paid vacation days, statutory holidays, and sick leave. * Life insurance coverage. * Disability benefits. * Employee stock purchase plan (ESPP). * Employee assistance programs (EAPs). * Professional development opportunities, including training and tuition reimbursement. * Employee discounts on Dell products and services. * Wellness programs that promote healthy living. * Diversity and inclusion initiatives that foster an environment of acceptance and inclusion. **How to Apply** If you are a motivated and experienced data engineer looking for a challenging role that will allow you to grow your career and make a deep impact, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
