Key Responsibilities

As a Technical Support Engineer at blithequark, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical support to external content teams in regards to the use of content tools, ensuring timely resolution of issues and minimal downtime
  • Creating reference materials and delivering training sessions to get external teams up to speed with the toolset, promoting efficient adoption and utilization
  • Debugging and solving possible issues with tools and workflows, collaborating with the tools engineering team to resolve complex problems
  • Escalating critical issues to the tool development team and working closely with production to track progress in JIRA, ensuring transparent communication and prompt resolution
  • Advocating for tool improvements, workflow enhancements, and suggestions from external teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
  • Partnering with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality, driving cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Guiding or leading cross-disciplinary discussions to drive features from initial concept to completion, promoting a holistic approach to product development
  • Exemplifying reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions, upholding the highest standards of excellence and integrity

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience, demonstrating a solid foundation in technical principles and practices
  • Experience supporting a live service or tool environment, with a proven track record of resolving complex technical issues and providing exceptional support
  • Unity 3D game and tool development experience, with a strong understanding of game development pipelines and workflows
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or other defect tracking software, with experience in agile project management and collaboration tools
  • iOS and Android mobile development experience, with a solid understanding of mobile app development principles and best practices
  • At least 5 years of experience delivering production-level code in a professional environment, with a strong portfolio of projects and achievements
