Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Architect at blithequark, you will be responsible for leading the application of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles throughout the software development lifecycle. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the application of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles throughout the software development lifecycle, including domain analysis, modeling, and implementation.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and define bounded contexts, develop a ubiquitous language, and establish domain-driven patterns to ensure alignment between software solutions and business domains.
  • Driving the creation of domain models that accurately represent complex business domains and facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leveraging DDD best practices to design and develop scalable, maintainable, and extensible software systems that effectively address the organization’s evolving needs.
  • Facilitating discussions around new and emerging capabilities and helping determine the best approach to modernize technologies to enable business solutions.
  • Synthesizing current state processes, operating models, and ways of working to define new, digitally-aligned clarity on requirements.
  • Working across a diverse stakeholder group, driving consensus, and creating a shared understanding of detailed requirements in conjunction with technical delivery.
  • Conducting initial assessments of problem situations or articulating the capabilities needed to support the business.
  • Gathering information about the business process through various methods (shadowing, interviews, surveys, reading reports, etc.).
  • Providing strategic support to clients in defining or designing business processes and helping identify technologies based on client requirements.
  • Coordinating multi-system solutions to clarify interdependencies so that systems appear seamless to the user.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Domain-Driven Design or equivalent.
  • Cloud (AWS) migration experience in a large enterprise environment.
  • Ability to adapt and learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mind with strong data collection and analysis skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in process mapping, technical design, and proven problem-solving.
  • Effective communication, relationship management, and influencing skills needed to work in partnership with internal teams.
  • Enterprise Business Process Modeling (BPM) experience.
  • Business Capability Modeling (BCM) experience.
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
