W2 - (2) - Informatics Nurse Specialist (Clinical, Epic, Amb Doc, Clin Doc, RN license) - Remote

Duties: Scope: Informatics knowledge of working through change request submitted by practice departments in Rochester, MN. The informaticists will need to meet with members of our team, possible the practice department, submit the request through Service Now, partner with our EHR IT analysts for build questions, test the build and validate prior to moving to production. Requirements: • Clinical Experience, Epic Experience, Seasoned informaticists, Knowledge of the Service Now Change management tool, Familiar with MS tools (Teams, Outlook, List). • Epic certified or proficient in Amb Doc and Clin Doc, RN license, MSN in informatics. • If you can't find candidate with a degree in informatics, then Master's degree in Nursing, or a Bachelor's degree in Nursing with a Master's degree in healthcare-related field may be considered. No equipment will be provided. 3 month engagement to start. Position Overview: The Informatics Nurse Specialist (INS) provides leadership, consultation, and direction for information technology that impacts clinical nursing information management from planning through evaluation. The INS is an expert in the design and use of informatics solutions that support the vision and mission of client Clinic. The INS serves as a bridge between the Department of Nursing and other institutional groups, linking clinical practice, technology, and information management to enhance patient care. The American Nurses Association (ANA) Scope and Standards of Nursing Informatics Practice, ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses provides the basis for practice. Skills: Additional Experience: • Minimum of three years clinical experience in healthcare preferred. • Evidence of advanced knowledge and competence in Nursing Informatics. • Ability to develop effective working relationships throughout the organization. • Ability to apply an evidence base to nursing informatics. • Project management experience preferred. • Experience in training or teaching others. • Demonstrated computer literacy with strong knowledge of software applications. Education: Minimum Education:Master's degree in Nursing, or a Bachelor's degree in Nursing with a Master's degree in healthcare-related field.
