<strong>Primary Function<br><br></strong>Ensure all work referenced below is completed at an acceptable productivity level for employee's classification and experience level. Productivity performance will be based on historical time studies of similar work<br><br><strong>Typical Duties<br><br></strong>Responsible for performing welding functions per job specifications. Selects equipment and plans layout and assembly of welding. Works closely and interacts with supervision and QA/QC. Works with precise limits and standards of accuracy.<br><br><ul><li>Actively support the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values.”</li><li>Represent the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.”</li><li>Proficient at arc gouging</li><li>Capable of welding qualified processes without supervision</li><li>Must have Mathematical Skills</li><li>Must be knowledgeable in understanding and utilizing various blueprint Drawings</li><li>Perform / Assist in departmental fit up activities as directed by Leadman or Shop Foreman</li><li>Ability to utilize and interpret various measuring devices and weld symbols ( Tape Measure, protractor, etc)</li><li>Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical information, such as codes(ASME,API-650-620)</li><li>Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience<br><br></strong>Prior related experience and/or training in a fabrication environment.<br><br>Must be certified in 3 of the following processes listed below. At a minimum must have GMAW / FCAW 6G.<br><br><ul><li>GMAW/FCAW - 6G</li><li>GTAW - Position - 2G & 5G or 6G</li><li>SMAW - Position - 2G 3G or 6G</li><li>SAW - Position - 1G – Flat<br><br></li></ul><strong>Physical Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>Must be willing to work frequent overtime.</li><li>Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.</li><li>Must be able and willing to work at elevated heights from ladders, scaffolding, aerial work platforms, etc.</li><li>Work may include pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds, such as raw or fabricated material, equipment or tools.</li><li>Must be able to perform tasks in hot and cold temperatures.</li><li>Work make include frequent bending, kneeling, crouching and stooping and occasional climbing onto equipment.</li><li>Work involves standing and/or walking for extended periods of time, up to a minimum of 8 hours per day.</li><li>The essential job functions and duties outlined in this position are considered safety sensitive.<br><br></li></ul>Safety Management training and Client / Site specific training. To obtain and maintain an active status within the DISA drug testing program.<br><br>California law requires pay information in job postings. The typical hiring range for this position in California is shown below. The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience, specific skill set, geographic location, internal equity, and other factors influencing pay.
