Semi-Truck Weekend Dispatcher - Remote

Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Semi-Truck Weekend Dispatcher to join our logistics team remotely. This role is essential for coordinating freight movements, managing transportation schedules, and ensuring efficient fleet operations during our weekend shift. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, solid computer skills, and strong follow-through skills. This remote position is ideal for motivated individuals seeking a part-time weekend schedule while contributing significantly to our transportation operations through expert dispatching and logistical coordination. Duties • Coordinate and dispatch semi-truck drivers during the Saturday/Sunday weekend shifts, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups. • Utilize Motive Fleet GPS electronic logging system (ELOGS) to monitor fleet movements. • Answer customer emails, driver texts, and phone calls regarding all weekend pick up and deliveries. • Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams, maintaining professional etiquette and clear communication. • Maintain accurate records of trailer locations and driver load assignments. Qualifications • At least 1 year of proven transportation dispatching experience, preferably in the trucking industry. • Familiarity with logistics concepts including freight management, fleet management, shipping & receiving, and supply chain processes. • Strong computer skills and familiarity with electronic logging software are preferred.
