Key Responsibilities

As a Part-Time Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be the first point of contact for individuals reporting Spotted Lanternfly sightings or seeking information on this invasive species. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining the professional image of our customer-focused call center and ensuring the overall operation runs smoothly.
  • Responding to customer inquiries via phone, video conference, email, or regular mail, providing accurate and helpful information about the Spotted Lanternfly and related resources.
  • Investigating unusual situations or concerns and assisting in problem resolution, ensuring that all interactions are handled with professionalism and care.
  • Operating various equipment and computer systems, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, to manage customer interactions and report on call center activities.
  • Collaborating with the call center manager and other team members to meet stakeholder needs and ensure the quality of all call center services.
  • Developing a working-level knowledge of the Spotted Lanternfly to effectively address customer questions and concerns.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with Spanish being a valued additional skill. You should have a proven track record of providing outstanding customer service, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage a high volume of calls. Experience in call centers, sales, client management, information technology, or basic entomology is desirable. Most importantly, you should be passionate about delivering exceptional service, working with diverse populations, and contributing to environmental conservation efforts.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Previous experience in customer service, call centers, or related fields.
