Your key responsibilities will include: * Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services * Resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience * Modeling and sharing customer service best practices with all team members * Providing customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service * Recommending items for sale to customers and recommending trade-up and/or companion items * Registering customer purchases on assigned cash register, collecting cash and distributing change as requested * Processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed * Keeping counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, taking inventory, and maintaining records * Implementing Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss * Ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products * Constructing and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise * Assisting with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures * Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service and suggestive sell of promotional photo products * Assisting with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance * Complying with all company policies and procedures; maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers **Essential Qualifications:** To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or specialized training preferred * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments * Basic math skills, with the ability to accurately handle cash and operate a cash register * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, with frequent standing, walking, and bending * Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends **Preferred Qualifications:** While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset in this role: * Previous customer service experience, preferably in a retail or healthcare setting * Knowledge of store systems and store equipment * Experience with digital passport photo service and promotional photo products * Basic computer skills, with the ability to learn and use our store systems and software **Skills and Competencies:** To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Basic math skills and ability to accurately handle cash * Ability to work effectively in a team environment * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities * Strong customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits:** At blithequark, we are committed to helping our team members grow and develop their careers.
