The ideal Independent Contractor will have experience as a diesel technician or in automotive repair industry and a knowledge of trucks, trailers, and equipment maintenance. Other common background includes auto inspectors, home inspectors, and insurance adjusters. Required: • Must reside in the greater Lawrenceville area • 1099 Independent Contractor status • Flexible Schedule (daylight hours, Monday - Friday) • Comfortable working outdoors • Access to a newer smartphone or tablet with sufficient data plan • Access to a laptop/desktop computer • Heavy Duty Truck Diagnostic Tool (must read fault codes, capture aftertreatment (DPF/DEF) status, and provide printable or exportable report) • Reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license • Strong oral and written communication skills • Proficiency with Microsoft and other web based software • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time Perks include: • Extra income with flexible, ad-hoc work • Be your own boss and set your own hours • Flexible work environment • Ability to work with minimal guidance and supervision Compensation: $15,000 - $75,000 per year (part-time to high-volume) Paid per inspection with mileage reimbursement.
