Digital Artist, 3D Generalist (Remote)

Digital Artist, 3D Generalist Job Summary Visual Development sits in CG Studio and is part of the Global Marketing Communications group. We are a team of experienced digital artists, dedicated to craft, creativity, and the exploration of new tools and technologies. We are looking for a highly versatile and skilled 3D Generalist who is interested in creating conceptual imagery and motion for ideation and visualization of our global marketing campaigns. In this role you will work as part of a highly collaborative team dedicated to the visualization of 3D products, campaign identities, and various other illustrative and CG deliverables in both motion and static formats. Key Qualifications • Expert-level 3D Generalist, Digital Artist with a proven emphasis on illustrative design, animation and/or hard-surface product lighting and rendering • Mastery of a 3D software package including Cinema4D, Houdini, Maya, Blender, or equivalent • A portfolio that displays an excellent eye for lighting, color, composition, form and design • Understanding of photographic lighting principles (experience with practical studio lighting a plus) • Versatility in executing a wide range of 3D styles, from photorealistic to highly stylized • Expertise in motion design principles and their application to tasteful and innovative animation • Proven ability to create compelling conceptual visuals using procedural and simulation techniques • Excellent collaboration skills when working with Art Directors and Motion Designers on a cohesive visual style • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; able to stay organized and self-motivated with minimal oversight • Outstanding attention to detail, a passion for craftsmanship and the pursuit of artistic excellence • Agility in learning new workflows and thrive in iterative and evolving creative processes • Highly organized and self-motivated with excellent time and project management skills • Proficiency in Photoshop and/or After Effects a plus • Knowledge of Python scripting a plus • Character Animation experience a plus • Experience in realtime programs (Unity, TouchDesigner, etc) a plus Duties • Work as an integral part of the Visual Development team on conceptual imagery for static and motion design projects across various media platforms • Ideate and explore a broad range of creative solutions to communicate abstract concepts effectively • Iterate and refine visuals effectively with speed and precision • Visually communicate ideas through lighting, design and composition, while establishing clean, structured 3D scenes that support downstream production teams • Collaborate closely with Art Directors and creative teams to ensure alignments with project goals • Maintain strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal • Stay organized and detail-oriented while juggling multiple deliverables in a deadline-driven environment • Thrive in a highly iterative and collaborative environment where creative and technological exploration, innovation, and comfort with ambiguity are highly valued Experience • 10+ years of relevant experience Education • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience Hours may fluctuate based on project needs.
