Role Description
The Supervisor, Claims Processing is responsible for leading a team of non-exempts for the Claims Processor group. This role involves:
• Providing leadership, coaching, and development to the team.
• Owning full supervisory and administrative responsibilities for team members.
• Ensuring a positive, friendly culture in the department that is customer-centric and productive.
• Driving performance management and ensuring accuracy of claims processes.
• Equipping the team to provide a positive customer/client experience.
• Ensuring the team understands and follows operating instructions, including compliance requirements.
• Meeting or exceeding performance targets via OKR/KPI coaching and leadership.
• Cultivating an environment of trust, teamwork, and personal ownership.
• Partnering with team members to support their personal development.
• Initiating, planning, and executing key business initiatives.
• Understanding and relating to business objectives to provide strategic vision and high-quality solutions.
• Staying abreast and complying with all claims compliance laws, rules, and regulations.
• Assisting with claims processing function duties as needed to maintain daily turnaround time.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or, in lieu of a Bachelor Degree, a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 3 years experience in a veterinary clinic or similar setting.
• 3+ years clinical veterinary experience with proficiency in medical terminology.
• Minimum of 2 years of proven leadership experience.
• Flexible schedule with hours between 6 AM & 9 PM EST and a weekend rotation each quarter.
• 1-year relevant experience and/or claims experience within a clinic or hospital.
