Job Overview

The Patient Advocate Data Entry Specialist role is an integral part of our Customer Success team, focusing on resolving and preempting customer issues to ensure a positive customer experience. As a key contributor to our high-throughput workflow and an essential member of our CLIA lab, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate data entry and management of patient orders. Your attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and commitment to quality will make you an invaluable asset to our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate critical healthcare information and test orders from test request forms into our database with utmost accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review received orders for required elements and effectively communicate missing elements to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Ensure a high level of quality throughput, adhering to our stringent standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Comply with applicable CLIA and HIPAA regulations, maintaining the highest level of data integrity and patient confidentiality.
  • Cultivate a culture of excellence, continuously seeking opportunities to improve processes and contribute to the growth of our Customer Success team.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Data entry experience, with a proven track record of accuracy and efficiency.
  • A High School diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in basic computer skills and software applications.
  • Detail-oriented approach, with the ability to focus on intricate details and maintain high levels of accuracy.
  • Quick learning abilities, with a capacity to adapt to new systems, processes, and technologies.
  • Effective problem-solving and research skills, with the ability to analyze issues and develop creative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact with clients in a professional manner.
  • Adaptability to changing policies and procedures, with a flexible approach to workflow and process improvements.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Internet Browsers, with the ability to navigate multiple software applications and systems.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • 6 months to 1 year of medical setting experience, with a strong understanding of healthcare operations and medical terminology.
  • A higher net typing speed, with the ability to efficiently process large volumes of data.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

This role involves sedentary work, with occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds of force. You will be required to maintain stationary positioning, move around the office, communicate effectively, and observe workflow processes. The use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions will be provided.
