Chief Information Technology Security (CISO) – GovTech / Federal AI | Remote | 25–40% Commission

AAIA builds and deploys advanced AI and automation systems across federal, state, and education sectors. Security is the backbone of everything we do — and we’re looking for a CISO who can lead that with authority. This isn’t a checkbox compliance role. It’s about building and defending secure infrastructure for government-grade AI systems handling sensitive data, complex integrations, and critical workflows. What You’ll Do • Oversee cybersecurity strategy, policy, and compliance across all government contracts and cloud environments • Lead implementation of NIST, FedRAMP, and CMMC standards • Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and incident response planning • Work directly with federal and SLED clients to ensure security posture exceeds contract requirements • Manage vendor security, endpoint protection, and zero-trust architecture • Advise executive leadership on evolving threats, certifications, and best practices • Build a security-first culture across the organization Must-Have • Proven experience leading cybersecurity in government or regulated environments • Deep understanding of NIST 800-53, CMMC 2.0, and FedRAMP frameworks • Hands-on knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) • Strong grasp of AI and automation platforms’ unique security challenges • Ability to manage compliance while staying pragmatic — speed without risk • Existing clearance or ability to obtain one Compensation • Competitive executive compensation with equity in the Government Division • Performance-based bonuses tied to security milestones and certifications • Full autonomy to design and lead your own security organization Why AAIA • Trusted by public agencies and partners nationwide • Real deployments, not theory • Zero bureaucracy, maximum speed • A chance to define what “secure AI” means for government systems If you can build bulletproof systems in motion — not just on paper — we want you here.
