Payroll Specialist / Senior Analyst Manassas, VA / Open to remote 3 Months - Contract to hire Job Description: Aurora is seeking a Payroll Specialist / Senior Analyst in the Accounting Department based in Manassas, Virginia. This position will serve as the payroll specialist for AFS responsible for processing payroll for 800+ employees within a multistate environment. Responsibilities will include ensuring completion of weekly timesheets, communicating with Human Resource to ensure accurate processing of payroll through ADP (including quarterly and year end reporting), recording payroll entries into our ERP system (SAP byDesign), reconciling payroll general ledger accounts, and participating in payroll related audits. A successful candidate will be able to perform in a high pace diverse environment with excellent communication skills. This position will report directly to the Aurora Flight Sciences Controller. Minimum Requirements 10+ years of relevant experience in payroll 4 to 6 years of experience with ADP Must be a US Person Knowledgeable about federal and state payroll regulations and requirements Ability to meet strict deadlines, multi-task, and extreme attention to detail is essential Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written Strong organizational skills, work ethics, and team player High degree of professionalism Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material Ability to interface well with a variety of employees at all levels Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills, with an emphasis on Excel Experience in basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen Outstanding data entry skills Desired Requirements Payroll Specialist Certification ADP Workforce Now experience Meet and uphold Certified Payroll Professional criteria Mastery of internal controls SAP ByDesign experience desired Experience using accounting software Remarkable analytical, quantitative and social skills Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
